Artefact is a new generation of data services company, specialising in data consulting and digital & data marketing. They offer data-driven solutions designed to meet clients’ specific business needs.
In 2018, they created a complete eBusiness services offer to address the brands e-commerce challenges. They help brands define dedicated e-commerce strategy and guarantee excellence in operational management of the various performance drivers.
In order to support their expertise and offer an e-commerce cockpit to the brands, they developed an amazon dashboard with a proprietary technology, the Artefact Retail Suite.
I have been a Product Owner and eRetail consultant at Artefact for 2 years, working closely with brands to help them develop and grow their e-commerce and eRetail strategies.
Being both eRetail consultant and Product Owner, I have been fully in charge of the Artefact Retail Suite development from the data structuration and metrics definition to design and collaborative work with a team of developers (backend and frontend).
The main challenge of this project was to build a user experience meeting the needs of a double audience:
As a consultant on this project, I first worked on the metrics definition based on the clients and internal teams needs to monitor and elaborate effective eRetail strategies. To do so, we conducted interviews with the clients.
Then, I teamed up with data engineers to define what is the data needed, how it will be collected and structured.
Once the metrics were defined, I designed a low-fi prototype to validate the dashboard structure and each features.
For some of the features, we iterated several times on them to be sure to specifically address the problems.
Once everything was defined, I took care of the high-fi prototype design on InVision to make sure the developers have all the elements needed to start the implementation.
Then, I managed the dashboard development working closely with the developers team, organizing one-week sprints work with Trello and making sure we met the deadlines for the planned releases.
After the release of the first version of the dashboard, I started to onboard clients on it. The onboarding has 2 steps : data collection and client training.
Client interviews were conducted after a few weeks of use to understand how the use of the dashboard was received in their team, to identify pain points and new features to implement.
